Boring Life!

I haven't been tagged but since I saw Kiersten openly tagged everybody and I have been fortunate not to... I might as well get it done (esp. since almost everybody i know has done this :( )

Someone told me not so long ago that I am getting dumb. My solution... I am going to reread all the classic AP books I read in highschool. Not that it will really help. I also have a giant list of books one of my residents have suggested. So far I have only ready two books... not even tough ones. "The Spell" by Charlotte Bronte (i do not suggest. It was dumb!) and "The Last Lecture" by Robert Pauche? None of those are advanced books. The business office manager/associate director at work suggested the second. It is a great book!!!

This past weekend was Stake Conference. Sunday we had a YSA conference with Elder Marlin K. Jensen came to speak with us. Some of my most spiritual experiences were at Ydaho when we had Home Evenings with Elder Bednar. His question and Answer sessions really uplifted me spiritually and I gained so much insight from him. That is what this man did. He said it was the first thing he learned from Elder Bednar. I just got goosebumps. I felt the spirit so strong that meeting. It was a great way to start the week.

Well, I really can not think of what else I needed to blog. I have lost 9 pounds. Only because I have been reading so much and forget to eat breakfast and dinner and work food is a very low fat, low salt diet.... OOPS

I need to start exercising again. I am just not happy and I see pictures of a year ago and it is rather embarrassing so I am going to go on the routine we used at school awhile back. 0.5 miles (I know it isn't allot!!!) for one week, 1.0 miles for one week, 1.5 miles for one week.... and then on the days cycle in the incredible work out tapes I have but never use. At work we were talking about how i should bring them and we could do them at 9pm when it gets quiet. That is an idea!!!

Burned Out

Yesterday was a rough day at work. We had a resident who was in pretty bad respiratory distress. I don't know about anybody else but when i have a hard time breathing I get tired. So, this residents was getting tired and just wanted to lay down. The dumb paramedic said ," Are you giving up breathing? Are you ready to die?" What kind of jerk says that to somebody? What ever happen to public service and encouragement in crisis (no matter how big or small) After they took the resident out of the room to the ER the paramedic came up to me and said, "It doesn't look as if he will make it, you might want to prepare everybody now." UHM! What a Jerk! So, I was suppose to leave work at 7pm last night because I was in at 9:30am and that emergency got ober at 7:15pm, I took out garbage, toileted two people, but someone to bed and then at 7:45pm when i was getting ready to take the garbage out I hear, "HELP! HELP!" Once of my residents fell and that took another thirty minutes. The nurse and I were coming downstairs when the other nurse called on the radio. She had dropped all the other nurse's pills on the ground and they were alll mixed up, so guess what I stayed and helped do.... PILLS. So, obviously I was not meant to leave at 7pm yesterday. Who knows maybe I would have gotten in a bad accident on my way home or someone would have hijacked my car, either way I am very frustrated with work right now. I am just burned out! It doesn't help either that I am no getting very good sleep either!

I know a blog is suppose to be a place where you can vent frustrations and share whatever is going on in your life. I realized that putting things, for example, how unhappy I am at work, could come back in bite me in the rear end, so I deleted it. FYI, I only got a $0.30 raise. So after three years of not getting a raise, that is all I am worth. I am not quite a happy camper!!!!

Idaho

My mother, Christopher and I drove to Idaho this week. We left Sunday after church, almost got in three accidents in the QFC parking lot while Chris was driving and then got really close to the side rail. He drove from Kent to Ellensburg. We saw my Uncle Brian, he barbequed us the BEST chicken ever, left and then drove to Spokane, staed with the Burches, got up and drove to see my Aunt Sharon who took us to IHOP and tried to convince to stay the night but we decided to continue to drive to Rexburg. So, I am loosing reception on my cell phone while trying to make hotel arrangements for that night getting frustrated and finally gave up. We waited until we got to Rexburg at 8:30pm, reserved a room, got my stuff out of storage, went to Walmart, went back to the motel, slept got up, went shopping, visited Kiersten and Brilynn (WHO IS SO STINKING CUTE, except she cried when she saw me!!!) left Rexburg and drove to Rupert, Idaho where we stayed in 110 degree weather with Grandma and Grandpa Beth, who doesn't remember who I am :(. We stayed the night and then left for Washington at 6pm, made it four hours and got another motel room in Ontario, Oregon (stinkiest town ever!!!!) Slept and then left at 8:30am. We drove back home where "my mom folded the map" and time traveled. Somehow we missed the whole city of Yakima where we were going to go and get fruit to bring home. Made it home, my parents and family left to go camping with Jen and Joe and friendsm left me all alone at home and now I have to work this weekend so I don't think I will get to go camping. Maybe i will drive up tonight hang out a little bit and then come home. I am debating whether or not to put a mattress in my car so I don't have to sleep on the ground. THANK GOODNESS for fold down seats. I really need to wash my car but that will wait until after I make the drive. Anyways best part of the trip... I GOT NEW SCRIPTURES. Mine were in need of some First Aid so I just bought new ones. I LOVE NEW SCRIPTURES. If I am forgetting something in my long rambling, I will make sure to add it later. Pictures also... I will add those at another time :)

I know I am just a little prejudiced, but I really think I have the cutest niece ever! I just love her to pieces and I am so excited to see what new surprises she has for us. Today during Sacrament meeting she was clapping for us. For awhile she was listening to the speaker with the cutest little smile and then shook her head no to what she was saying. SOOO CUTE!!!!

Looking back at this blog, I saw the picture of the Ford five hundred and I am soooooo glad I didn't get that car. I don't think I would have been very happy with it. I absolutely love me Escape! I just need to hurry and go on my road trip so I can get to know it better, you know how it drives and such. I was going to go August 1-4th but my mom thinks I need to take more of an adult (Chris isn't adult enough) to help drive. And she HAS to be at church on Sundays so wants me to go during the week. I work during the week. We are short staffed and I can't just leave during the week. She is probably true, but I am sure I can drive for 11 hours!!! No biggie. Why does life have to be so complicated?

I know this is delayed considering we found out of Friday but Chris got his mission call to the Italy Milan mission! I am so excited for him!

Un- RIP?

GUESS WHAT! One of my residents found my phone. Well, actually her neice did. She is completely blind so even if she wanted to find it, she couldn't. Now I have the hard decision of what phone to use. Also, my mother and I ran into JoAnn's today and we weren't even in there for one minute when the power went out. There must have been a good three blocks of stores without power and of course NO STOP LIGHTS! Crazy Kent!

Icky!

I hate feeling icky. Dry Eyes, Runny Yet Stuffed Nose, Sinus Pressure, Sore throat, Thick Throat, Pains all over.... It is probably just a sinus infection and the nurse when I was making an appointment asked, "You sound like you could be pregnant." UH NO!!! Jerk

CARS!!!

We went car shopping again today and I think I fell in love. First of all, the 500 got sold and when we were turning into JoAnn's in Federal Way we saw the lady driving it. EXACT SAME CAR FROM THE SAME DEALERSHIP!!! I wasn't even saddened because I was in love. My new love is a 2003 Ford Escape XLT with under 40,000 miles on it. They cut it down REALLY low for me and the offer is still on the table when I will go in on Monday to buy it. (I am sick of looking for cars. I love it!!!) Anyways, it is kind of old but the car report came back absolutley clean. No dings whatsoever. It is still unlisted so I will be checking non stop to make sure it stays that way. I don't want to loose it! Everybody pray for me! I am 98% sure this is it. I am going to fast about it tommorow though because this is a super big decision.

REST IN PEACE

Having one of my worst days ever yesterday, I lost my cell phone. So I have no numbers right now and using one of my mom's old phones. Sometimes I really hate life! And... my stupid work has enough drama to make a million soap operas!!!! Uhm, I just found out paying retail for phone is REALLY REALLY expensive!

OH MY!!!

My car didn't get sold! It is back online! I am so stinkin excited!!!My hair color is also growing back out so I am either going to go lighter or go back to poop brown. Who knows.

Cars

I am really hoping I can go car shopping on Saturday and even better come home with one. I went car shopping a week ago and test drove a Ford Five Hundred. That is a nice little car. But, someone elso bought it. I really do need to drive more cars around so I know exactly what I want. ERG. This is hard. Well, life is okay. I am working six days a week at Arbor Village and 4-5 days a week at a local dentists office cleaning. I am over worked and have a non-stop headache from not enough sleep and too much work. On the good side, I have not had a sleeping pill in a couple of days and I have been sleeping amazingly! WOO HOO!!!

It is so crazy to think it has been two years. It is weird having him home, but it just fits. I love how family is like that.

P.S. Everything is weird to him. Welcome to his state of awkwardness.

TODAY!

David comes in tonight. WOOHOO! I am so excited, unfortunately, instead of waiting til 1:45pm, we mow have to wait until 9:45pm. Either way, I am soooo excited.

Also, yesterday I went a lighter (hair). Kelsey did a wonderful job. No more old people hair- doing ladies for me.

Four odd Days...

I can not believe it. David Comes home in four days. Or three days and some odd hours. My parents have been very emotional these past weeks going over their old journals from their mission. I have been pretty good lately writing in mine and it has been nice going back just a few months and to think reading it years in the future. WOW!

Anyways, I am really excited for David to come home and meet him at the airport with my family. ITS GOING TO BE FUN!

I also got my hair cut. It isn't as "fierce" as it was suppose to be. So, I am going to get it re-cut. But, the lady isn't in until Wednesday so I might have to go somewhere else and just double pay.

E-Cuts

I am absolutley in love with scrapbook.com. Their E-Cuts are so much fun and really make things a little easier/ gives me new ideas. I am at work and really wish I was at home. I am soooo exhausted. Don't know why, but I have definitley been getting more sleep latley. Well, it is my sister's birthday today! Woohoo for sisters! I just love her and don't think she realizes how much I appreciate her and the things she does for me. Having a sister is so great! I definitley didn't think so growing up but now I wouldn't have it anyother way.

P.S. I really hate this snow business. Washington is being so weird latley. It really just needs to make up its mind and I choose SPRING!
